<p>When Private Detective Laura Holt (Stephanie Zimbalist) has difficulty gaining clients because she is a female detective, she invents a masculine superior named Remington Steele to help her agency. But a mysterious and charming international jewel thief (Pierce Brosnan) assumes Steele's identity. Although he takes all the credit for her work, she finds he is actually helpful both as a figurehead and a detective, despite his method of often equating their situations with Humphrey Borgart movies.</p>
