X-Men: First Class

X-Men: First Class is based on the X-Men characters appearing in Marvel Comics. During the height of the Cold War in the early 1960s, mutant Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) meets fellow mutant Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) who later becomes Magneto. Despite their vastly different backgrounds—Charles grew up with a wealthy family, while Erik lost his parents at Auschwitz—the pair becomes close friends. As the world teeters on the brink of a nuclear war, Charles and Erik join forces with other mutants to save humanity and begin to discover the extent of their superhuman powers as well as the limits of their friendship along the way.
