Mr. Deeds Goes to Town

Longfellow Deeds (Gary Cooper), a simple, small-town man from Vermont, inherits a large fortune from his late uncle. His lawyer convinces him to move to New York City, where he unknowningly becomes the object of much media attention. When reporter Babe Bennet (Jean Arthur) gains his trust to post condescending articles about him, Bennet and Deed's relationship may not as simple as it seems.
