Mr. Deeds

A remake of the 1936 Frank Capra film <em>Mr. Deeds Goes to Town</em>, the 2002 version starring Adam Sandler focuses on Longfellow Deeds, the unassuming heir of his late uncle's massive fortune. Deeds is a simple man who runs a pizzeria in New Hampshire and writes greeting cards in the hopes that Hallmark would hire him. After the death of his uncle, Deeds is temporarily put in charge of his uncle's media conglomarate, Blake Media. Crazy antics ensure as Deeds becomes increasingly famous and garners the attention of Babe Bennett, a reporter whose motives may not be entirely as they seem.
