Maggie has a plan to have a baby on her own, but her plan crumbles when she falls in love with John—a married man. Eventually, their love destroys the remainder of John and his wife's, Georgette, marriage. However, after three years of marriage and having a daughter together, Maggie falls out of love with John while also suspecting that he and Georgette may have been perfect for each other.
