Birdman

Actor Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton)— most famous for portraying an iconic superhero “Birdman” over twenty years ago— struggles to mount a Broadway play. Thomson's association with the Birdman character has overtaken his life and his acting career. Now past middle age, Riggan is trying to establish himself as a true artist by writing, directing, starring in and co-producing a Broadway play with his best friend Jake (Zack Galifianakis). Thomson is staking his reputation and his entire life savings on the project and will do anything to make the play a success. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself.
